Marouane Fellaini’s move to Chinese side Shandong Luneng is all but confirmed and an announcement is imminent now. Fellaini has already passed the medical and will be earning around 235,000 euros per week at his new job.

Now 31, Marouane Fellaini became the first signing of Manchester United in the post-Ferguson era when he joined the club on 2nd September 2013. He was a favorite of the then United manager Moyes having played under him in Everton as well.

He only signed a contract extension at Manchester United a few months back. However after Jose Mourinho’s departure from the club, playing time has been hard to find for him. United are expected to make around 7 million euros from the deal, which we would see Fellaini joining the Chinese side immediately on a 3-year contract.

Earlier today, he mostly confirmed his departure after uploading an airport pic along with the caption “Lets, Go”.

Not the best and most versatile midfielder in any way, but Fellaini should be remembered by the United fans for scoring some of the most important goals for them in the recent time.

From being the MOTM in the FA Cup semi-final to scoring in crucial games in Europa and Champions League, Marouane Fellaini was the plan B for United for quite some time now.
