Now since Jose Mourinho has been sacked as the manager of Manchester United and all time fan favorite and United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been appointed as the caretaker manager everyone is thinking what’s next for Manchester United.

So Solskjaer will have Mike Phelan as first-team coach, working alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna at his disposal to try and bring back the glory days of Manchester United. But as a fan we should not have high expectations. With our current tally in the league it is highly unlikely we are going to achieve something huge in terms of silverware or points but that is not what is Solskjær has been brought in for.

Solskjær  has been hired to bring back that winning instinct along with the aggressive style of play which United has been famous for all along. Solskjær being an important part of that generation under Sir Alex clearly understands what it takes to play the United way. In his first interview earlier today with he clearly says that ‘Lots of my management evolves around what I learnt from him’. He went on to say that it will be clean start of each and every one in the squad and with such hectic schedule of games around the corner he believes squad rotation will be required giving opportunity to everyone to showcase their skills.

What will be exciting for us fans is the fact that he believes in the aggressive attacking style of play which Manchester United has been missing ever since Sir Alex. He knows it is not a permanent job and thus it does comes with the burden and expectation to lead to glory, all he has to do in this six months is to bring back the togetherness among the fans and the club along with that feel good feeling to. And I believe somehow it is starting to come back as well, I don’t remember when I was last this excited for a United game.

He are some other crucial statements made by the new boss in the interview which is sure going to bring some confidence and smile on Manchester United fans:

“Well, it’s six months and I’m going to enjoy the ride, I’m back home”

“An amazing squad of players – we’ve got 23-24 players. They are all quality an they’ll all get a chance now with the amount of games coming up. They’ve got a chance to show they are Man United players”

“We’re playing for the supporters, we’re playing for our pride, we’re playing for the club’s history but to be honest, it’s going to be very, very, special”

“The biggest club in the world, the best club in the world, the best supporters in the world and we’ve got the best players in the world”

Other great thing about Solskjær is that he believes in the ideology of promoting youth and knows few of our best offensive players like Lingard, Pogba and Rashford from the time when he was the manager of the reserve team. We can also expect Gomes, Chong and Greenwood to get fare share of opportunities under him.

Stay positive and like always keep supporting the best club in the world as it is the most important rebuilding step with good things surely ahead. Glory Glory Man United.
